Just outside of Seward Alaska is the incredible Kenai Fjords National Park. And the funny thing is, most people (like me) only see a fraction of it. That’s because the only road in goes as far as “Exit Glacier” and that’s where you can hike in to get fantastic views. But you have to hike. And there are bears. There was a cub right on the trail and when I stopped to give it some space, I heard the mother in the bushes right next to us. Knowing this is a very dangerous situation, I nudged my wife down the trail. As she was saying “why are you pushing me”, the mother and cub retreated. We were lucky, that time. It could have ended very badly.<\/p>\n

As it was, this was a stunning hike with great views.<\/p>\n
